NOLTE, Edward R. - Lynden resident Edward Robert Nolte, Sr., died Friday, Dec. 4, 1992. He was 92. He was born Jan. 13, 1900, in Bellingham, to George and Clara Nolte. He graduated from Washington State University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44 F & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, and the First Church of Christ, Scientist of Boston. The Nolte family was a pioneer family in Whatcom County, Mr. Nolte's father, George W. Nolte was one of the founders of Bellingham National Bank. Survivors include his daughter, Louise N. Rightmire of Bellingham; son Edward R. Nolte, Jr., of Bellingham; sister Clara Fassett of Olympia; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
