Attended Harvard Law School 1886-88, admitted to Colorado Bar 1888 ; associated with firm of Teller & Orahood, Denver, 1888-92 ; partner in firm of Teller, Orahood & Morgan 1892-98 ; had practiced law independently in Denver since 1898 ; president Morgan Real Estate & Investment Company since 1897 ; member Colorado Tax Commission since 1915 and chairman since 1919 ; president Yale Alumni Association of Colorado 1901, State Historical and Natural History Society of Colorado 1905-15, and University Club of Denver 1906-07 ; member Society of the Sons of Colorado.
Married April 12, 1909, in Denver, Grace Firth Welles, daughter of William Henry and Helen (Cowing) Firth. No children.
Death due to coronary thrombosis. Buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Denver. Survived by wife (died Janyary, 1936), a stepson, Julian F. Welles, ex-'18 S., a stepdaughter, Mrs. Carleton H. Bremer, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice M. Harrison and Mrs. Jessie M. deGogorza, both of New York City. ...
