Edward Robert MILLER, son of Frank and Hannah (McBRIDE) MILLER, was born March 9 (delayed birth record), 1906 in Erie, IL. Like other Miller children, he was born at home with the help of a midwife = Miss. L. Hollenshead. The 1930 census shows he was living in Erie with his mother, four brothers, grandmother Malinda McBride, uncle George McBride, and foster child Buddy Krause. Edward was a laborer at odd jobs; could read/write, and was still single at age 24.

Edward and Evelyn lived in Hialeah (a part of Miami-Dade) at 5664 N.W. 3rd Street. Edward worked as the foreman of a rock-crushing plant. At the age of 46 he died in the Hialeah Hospital of an unrecorded cause after a stay of three days. He was buried in Flagler Cemetery, Miami, FL.
