KEYES, Edward B., age 76, of 1346 Humboldt, passed away in a local hospital Friday, July 18, (1958) following a short illness. He had resided in Bellingham for the past 38 years and was a retired contractor. He leaves to survive his wife, Etta T. Keyes of the family home; 3 sons, Chauncey M., of Fresno, California; Major Edward B. Jr. of the U.S. Marine Corp, Lynnhaven, Virginia; and Richard C., of Nevato, California; 4 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy E. Wagner, of Bowser, B. C.; Mrs. Marion Vallerga of Oakland; Mrs. Harriett E. Martin, and Mrs. Carolyn E. Bardea, both of Mill Valley, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Dr. W. C. Keyes of this city; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Peterson, of Oakland; many nieces and nephews, among whom are Dr. Roswell P. Keyes, Dr. Donald C. Keyes, Dr. Howard C. Keyes, all of this city. Funeral services will be conducted July 21 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Moore officiating. Interment Bayview.
