A transcription of his will: In the Name of God Amen I Edward Jarman of Tref-Eglwys in the County of Mountgomery & Diocese of Bangor --being Sick & weak in Body but of perfect mind & Memory (blessed be God) do make & ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following: Imp -- I Commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping through the alone merits of my Blessed Saviour to receive a full, free, & absolute Pardon of all my Sins: And my Body to the Grave to be Inter'd after a decent & Christian manner -- according to the Discretion of my Execut hereafter named And to what wordly goods wherewith it hath pleas'd God to blesse me, My will and Desire is that they be Bequeathed & Disposed of as foll---- Imp I will that my debts & funerall expences be first discharged Item, My will is that my dear & beloved wife Joan receive the 3ds of what I am possessed of, my debts & funeral expences first discounted for -- Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the wife of Edward Ashton the sum of five shillings -- As to all the rest of my worldly goods; My will & desire is that they be divided into four shares to be divided among my four children, Elizabeth, Edward, Joan, & Roger, with the proviso that Edward & Rogers share shall amount to tenn pounds apiece more than their aforesaid sisters Elizabeth and Joan's shares -- Item my will & desire is that my Brother Daniel is, and I do hereby appoint him, I give him power to act as trustee during their & the Executors minority-- Lastly I appoint my son Roger Executor of this my last will and testament, revoking all wills and testaments by me heretofore made, in witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand & seal the 15 of August 1733 Edward Jarman Sealed and Declared by the Testator to be his last will and Testament in the presence and sight of us -- Edw'd Thomas Thomas Phillips John Morris Ser References
