    This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Hulgreave of Eccleston near Knowsley in the County of Lancaster yeoman -- And first it is my Will and mind that all my just debts my Funerall Expences and the charges of the probate of this my Will be paid And afterwards I give and bequeath all and every my household and other Goods Cattle horses hay and Corne unto my Executors hereafter named In trust to permitt and suffer Mary my beloved Wife and my son Joseph Hulgreave to have the use of and manage and enjoy the same dureing so long time as they shall live and keep house together And from and after they shall leave off or give over having or keeping house together then to permitt and suffer my said beloved Wife to have the use thereof dureing her life provided she shall keep herself sole chast and unmarried And it is my will and mind that it shall be lawfull for my said wife at any time or times dureing her life by any her act or acts Deed or Deeds in writeing to be sealed and delivered in the presence of two or more credible witnesses or by her last Will and Testament in writing to be Signed Sealed and published in the presence of two or more credible witnesses to give or dispose of my said Goods Cattle horses hay and Corne unto all or any of my four Children Joseph Mary Elizabeth and Alice at such time and times and in such proportions manner and forme as she my said Wife shall think fit and proper but not to any other use or purpose whatsoever And for want of such Gift or disposall then the same to be divided after her death or marriage again whether shall first happen equally amongst my said four Children share and share alike And whereas I am seised of a messuage and Tenement with the appurtenances in Halewood in the said County for three h... yet in being Now I give and devise one Moiety thereof unto my said beloved Wife and her assigns dureing her life And after her decease I give and devise the same Moiety and alsoe the other Moiety of my said Messuage and Tenement imediately after my decease unto my said son Joseph his Executors administrators and assigns dureing all my Estate Terms and Interest therein And I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my personall Estate whatsover unto my said three Daughters Mary Elizabeth and Alice equally amongst them And I do hereby nominate make and appoint my said Wife and Son and Richard Halsall of Prescott in the said County Gentleman Exect. of this my Will hopeing they will doe the same perform as my Trust is within And lastly do revoke all former Wills by me made and do make this my last will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seale this twenty Sixth day of December anno [?] Georgii Magn Britan [...?] 1725
