  3. The Roxbury VRs show the birth of another Samuel 19 Feb 1722-3, and the baptism of Edward on 24 Feb 1772-3. Of course, no double-dating would be used in 1772 suggesting the date of the baptism should be 1722-3, not 1772-3, and might apply to the same person. Further no other births to a father Jacob are found in the 1770s. According to Source:Linzee, John William. History of Peter Parker and Sarah Ruggles of Roxbury, Mass. and Their Ancestors and Descendants, p. 231, the baptism at the West Roxbury Church of Edward is actually 1722-3. Since no death of Samuel is recorded, it is assumed that Linzee is correct.
