Edward Newborn Brumhead was baptised on 22nd July 1798 at Stamford Baron in Northamptonshire, the first child of John Brumhead and Ann Newborn who had married just under nine months earlier. He was named after Ann's father, Edward Newborn. Edward Newborn Brumhead died as a baby, being buried in his mother's native Barnack on 20th November 1798.
