    OVERBROOK --- Edna Winifred Fox, 85, Overbrook, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, in Overbrook.

    Mrs. Fox taught school at Lone Rock School near Auburn and later worked for Luce Press Clipping Bureau in Topeka. She was a cook at Overbrook Grade School for several years, where she was known for her cinnamon rolls.

    She was born April 10, 1916, in Halifax, the daughter of John Calvin and Maude May Smith Gurss. She attended school in Burlingame and graduated from Burlingame High School in 1933.

    Mrs. Fox was a member of the United Methodist Church and had been a Cub Scout den mother in Overbrook.

    She married H. Wilbur Fox on Sept. 2, 1935, in Oklahoma City. He died March 12, 1970.

    Survivors include two sons, William Calvin Fox and Dale Wilson Fox, both of Overbrook; five grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Overbrook. Burial will be at Overbrook Cemetery. Mrs. Fox will lie in state from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Overbrook, where visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice and sent in care of the Kansas State Bank in Overbrook, 66524.
