Edna Louise Richards was born September 15, 1894 at North Loup, Nebraska, and was called to rest at Glenwood Springs, Colorado, March 11, 1979. She was the daughter of Sherman and Winnie Babcock Clement. As a teen-ager she committed her life to Christ and was baptized at North Loup by her pastor, Rev. George B. Shaw.
She was united in marriage to Oscar Richards May 23, 1923, and they continued to live for several years in Montrose, Colorado. In 1940 they moved to Riverside, California, where she joined the Seventh Day Baptist Church and became actively involved in the Lord's work. Her labors of love were dedicated toward helping in the church, camp and community, including teaching crafts in the Riverside Braille Club for some twelve years.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Donald E. Richards and Robert Dale Richards; one daughter, Gladys Wagner; and twelve grandchildren. Interment was at the Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside where a graveside service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Alton L. Wheeler, on March 16, 1979.
