    Dies At Army Hospital
    Maj. Edmund K. Webster Succumbs to Throat Trouble

    Major Edmund K. Webster, United States Army, retired, died at the Walter Reid Army Hospital, near Brightwood, yesterday, after a short illness from throat disease. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas’ Church tomorrow morning. Burial will be at the Arlington National Cemetery, with military honors.

    Major Webster was a native of Louisiana. He was graduated from the United States Military academy in the class of 1874 and appointed Second Lieutenant in the 2d Infantry. In February 1901, he reached the grade of Major in the 27th Infantry and in July 1910, he was transferred to the retired list on account of disability, incurred in the line of duty.
