    Lockwood, Edmund, s. of Edmund … of Cambridge, Mass., and nephew of Robert of Fairfield. He settled in Stamford by 1651, and d. there, 31 Jan. 1692 [1692/3]; m. (rec. Stamford) 7 Jan. 1655 [1655/6], Hannah Scott, who d. 12 Apr. 1706. She was dau. of Thomas and Elizabeth Scott of Ipswich, Mass. He was propounded for freeman of Conn. Colony, 12 May 1670. Freed from training, June 1685. Inv. 28 Feb. 1692/3. Widow; sons Joseph, Daniel, Edmund; daus. Mary, Abigail, and another not named. Adm'n was granted to the son Joseph, with Jonas Weed; the latter declined to act, and Abraham Ambler, Sr., was appointed in his place. Another Inv. 30 Jan. 1706/7 [after death of the widow]; distribution ordered to the three sons and three daus.
