"Eber (Hall), b 25 May 1749 (Wallingford Vital Records); Census (G) 2-1-3; m 2 May 1766 (church record, First Congregational Society, Wallingford) Hannah Newell.
↑ It seems unlikely that this Eber Hall had been transplanted to Guilford and then came back to marry a Wallingford girl when he was only 17. Talcott's Early Families of Guilford, p. 576 has an entry for one Eben Hall, son of Hiland and Rachel (Bishop) Hall, as follows: "Eben Hall, son of Hiland and Rachel (Bishop), was born 5 December 1741 and died 10 January 1782. He married/1 22 October 1761 Mary Shelley who was born 21 December 1734 and died 15 November 1764. He married/2 Hannah (_____). He died in camp. Lived in Guilford, Conn." The Wallingford church record states that "Eber (Hall) of Guilford, m. Hannah Newel, of Wallingford, May 2, 1766". It appears that the man who married Hannah Newell was not this Eber Hall.
