    6 Oct 1712: Bond of Susan'a Sherwin Widow of Ebenez'r Sherwin of Boxford as administrator with will annexed of Ebenezer Sherwin Late of Boxford Dec'd.

    Vol. 310, p. 471 Will of "Ebenezer Sherwin of Boxford ... Yeoman being very weak of Body", dated 16 Aug 1712, proved 6 Oct 1712, names wife Susannah Sherwin; my Three Children. Wife Susannah Sherwin to be execut'x, Cornelius Brown and Nathan'll Peabody to advice. Wife declined trust there "being no Legacy given", granted administration.
    20 Sep 1712: Inventory of Ebenezer Sherwin: not totaled, by Cornelius Broenwe and Ephraime ffoster.
    Vol. 310, p. 547 4 May 1713: Account of adm: on Ebenez'r Sherwin late of Boxford Dec'd, allowed.

  2. ↑ The birth estimate of about 1675 comes from Source:Porter, William Leaton. Genealogy of the Porter, Merrick, Sherwin and Allied Families, p. 15. The distribution of his father's estate mentions (presumably males, then females, each in birth order): Robert the eldest in Vergin'a, 3 representatives of Ebenez., Jacob, Elizabeth, Mary, Francis, Sarah, Hannah, Abigall, Ellinor (Essex Probate 25204). This makes Ebenezer the second son. Since Ebenezer's marriage in 1699/70 suggests a birth before 1680, this would place him before Mary b. 1679, Frances b. 1681 and Sarah b. 1683.
