Court Record, Page 134—3 July, 1750: This Court grant Adms. on the estate of Ebenezer Norton, late of Farmingtown, unto Sarah Norton, widow, who gave bonds with Isaac Norton of Farmingtown of £1000.
Page 94 (Vol. XVI) 3 April, 1753: An account of Adms. was now exhibited in Court by Sarah Norton, Adms. Accepted. Also, the sd. Adms. moves to this Court that distribution be made: Whereupon this Court appoint John Hungerford, Stephen Barns and Jonathan Root distributors to distribute the estate to the heirs, viz., to the sd. widow 1-3 part of the buildings and lands, and the rest of the estate to be distributed : to the eldest son a double share, and the rest of the children an equal share. This Court appoint Sarah Norton guardian to Martha Norton, 9 years, Ebenezer 7, and Isaac Norton about 4 years of age, children of Ebenezer Norton. Recog., £300.
Page 96—16 April, 1753: This Court appoint Matthew Clark to be guardian to Ashbell Norton, a minor, about 11 years of age, son of Ebenezer Norton deceased. Recog., £300.
Page 13 (Vol. XVII) 7 February, 1754: Bethias Norton, a minor, age 14 years, son of Ebenezer Norton of Farmington, chose Isaac Newell to be his guardian. Recog., £300."
