    "1. Ebenezer Leek, second son of Corporal Philip Leek, bapt. at New Haven, Conn., 12 Sept. 1647, was a cooper, and married Hannah, daughter of Thomas Baker by his wife Alice, daughter of Ralphl Dayton (East Hampton Town Records, 1:421; The American Genealogist, 22:125). He held several town offices and was Constable for some years. He died 10 June 1726, about 7 a.m., aged 'about 75.' His will, dated 19 Mar. 1722/3, proved 3 July 1734, named his wife Hannah, son Recompence (chief heir), sons Stephen and Ichabod (nominal legacies, they apparently having received their portions), daughters Hannah Allen, Aylce Smith and Abigail Woodruff.
