↑ There are two Ebenezer Damon's of Reading of about the same age: one b. 1686 and the other b. 1688, and they had children in Reading in the same timeframe. That the older one married Elizabeth is shown by the birth record of son Jonathan where parents are labeled Ebenezer Sr. and Elizabeth, so the younger one is the one married Dorcas.
↑ Wakefield VRs, p. 274, "DAMMON, Ebenezer, [died] Sept. 7, 1775, a. 87 y. Dysentery. CR". The age at death calculates to a birth about 1688, which appears to match the Ebenezer Damon who is the son of Thomas. Further the will of an Ebenezer Damon, dated 1753, proved 27 Feb 1776, names among other heirs wife Dorcas and son Thomas (Middlesex Probate 5774), further suggesting this death record does not belong to the Ebenezer of this page. So while this death record could belong to this Ebenezer, it cannot be conclusively said so without more evidence to overcome the slight discrepancies that make it match the other Ebenezer better. No will of this Ebenezer has been located nor another death record that seems relevant.
