    "16. Ebenezer Bostwick4, son of John and Abigail (Walker) Bostwick, was born in Stratford, Ct. in 1693. He died in Brookfield, Ct., (In 1743, some of the inhabitants of Danbury, Newton and New Milford, formed a settlement known as the Newbury Society. In 1788 this was organized into the town of Brookfield.) in 1753 or 1754, as the administration of his estate was granted March 6, 1754. … He served as a 2d Lieutenant in the Danbury, Ct., Militia Company, being commissioned in Oct. 1743."
