    Earl Davis, son of William F. and Sarah (Bond) Davis, was born March 16, 1887, in Burlingame, Kan.
    He went to Salem, W. Va., as a child and lived there until coming to Battle Creek, Mich., 42 years ago. On December 18, 1909, he was married to Mabel L. Monroe.
    Mr. Davis joined the Battle Creek Seventh Day Baptist Church on September 24, 1910. Almost 40 years to the day when he was called to rest, September 22, 1950.
    He is survived by his wife, Mabel; one daughter, Mrs. E. F. (Mary Ellen) Edwards, of Los Angeles, Calif.; a twin sister, Mrs. W. E. (Edna) Lydick, of New Castle, Pa., and another sister, Mrs. O. V. (Adeline) Davis of Warren, Ohio; two brothers who are twins, Russell W. Davis of Clarksburg, W. Va., and Lorain J. Davis of Battle Creek, Mich.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    Services were conducted September 25, 1950, by the pastor, Rev. Alton L. Wheeler.
