Duncan McMullen, son of Alexander McMullen and wife, Elizabeth, was born in Virginia in 1806. He came to Fayette County, Ohio before 1820. About 1828, Duncan married Margaret ?. He was listed in the 1830 census with Margaret, and most likely Margaret's mother and a couple of siblings in Union Township, Fayette County, Ohio. Duncan and Margaret had a son, Allen, born 1829 in Fayette County. They moved to McLean County, Illinois in the mid 1830's. I am trying to find the maiden name of Duncan's wife, Margaret. Have not been able to find a marriage record on them. Allen was not a name previously used in the McMullen family and it may indicate that Margaret's last name was Allen. Margaret was born abt 1813. If anyone can help with her identity, it would be most appreciated.
