- ↑ The way in which his father's will is written is not clear with regards to age, since the four sons never listed all together, but it seems most like that Dudley is the youngest son (since both lists give Job before Asa which agrees with known birth dates, and Dudley is listed last in the one list he is in), born after 1708 and before 1717 (to be of legal age when he married in 1738). Source:Brigham, Willard Irving Tyler. Tyler Genealogy places him first, born about 1700, but this is not explained and does not seem credible because his marriage in 1738 would be relatively late in life, and his death in 1790 would require a significantly longer life than was typical.
