- Douglas Alfred Grant1900 -
Facts and Events
Douglas Alfred Grant was born on 25th September 1900 and baptised the following month at Sidlesham in Sussex, son of a domestic servant named Dora Grant. His baptism does not name his father. Douglas appears in the 1901 census living with his mother and her parents at Sidlesham. His granfather, Alfred Grant, died in 1906, and his mother appears to have moved away some time between 1901 and 1911, leaving Douglas being brought up by his elderly grandmother, Sarah Grant. Douglas appears in the 1911 census living with his grandmother at Island House at Sidlesham. He has yet to be researched after 1911.
