Dorothy Grace Stiger, 85, of Fremont died Thursday at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont. She was born in Fremont, the daughter of Raymond and Clara (Cummings) Overmyer. She married Burr Stiger on Oct. 11, 1941, at Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church, and he survives. Dorothy was employed by Quikut Cutlery as a laborer for many years and also worked for Johnson's Greenhouse. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a member of the Crusader Class and taught Sunday School. She was also a Campfire leader. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Sandy (Richard) Thiessen, Fremont; son, Ronald Stiger, Cambridge, OH; sister, Betty Hetrick, and brother, Donald (Susan) Overmyer, both of Fremont; granddaughters, Catherine (Brandon) Perry and Rebecca (Lee) Booze, Amanda and Gretchen Stiger; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; brother, Kenneth Overmyer; and sister, Gladys Bundschuh. Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lowell Peterson officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
