- ↑ Source:Cogswell, Leander W. History of the Town of Henniker, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, p. 746, says Dorothy never went to Henniker when her husband moved there, but the timeline isn't explicitly specified beyond stating that Jonathan was constable in Marlborough as late as 1779. This same source says Dorothy d. 1769 but no record of her death is found in VR Marlborough. Undoubtedly she was alive on 27 Nov 1768 when she is recorded as the mother at the birth of her son John (see VR Marlborough, p. 181). Now the History of Henniker does show a daughter Dolly listed after son John but does not offer a birth date for her. Source:Temple, Levi Daniel. Some Temple Pedigrees, a Genealogy of the Known Descendants of Abraham Temple, Who Settled in Salem, Mass. in 1636, p. 38, also shows Dolly as a daughter listed after John, and estimates her birth as 1771. Referring to births recorded in Marlborough, after Dorothy's marriage to Jonathan in 1760, they had children in 1761, 1762, 1764, 1767, and 1768), suggesting that Dolly probably was born after the alleged 1769 death of her mother, casting doubt on that death date.
- ↑ Note: Source:Hudson, Charles. History of the Town of Marlborough, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, p. 418, says Dorothy Morse m. John Temple. This is clearly a typo, since on p. 458, he says Jonathan Temple m. Dorothy Morse, which agrees with VR Marlborough. There is a John Temple of Marlborough who m. 1776 Dorothy Stow, and it is possible confusion with this couple caused the error.
