"Mrs. Dorothy Kinniry Wardwell, 46, of 59 Melton Drive, East Hartford, wife of John F. Wardwell, died Thursday in Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford, she lived in East Hartford 19 years. She was a communicant of St. Chrisopher Church, East Hartford and a member of the Parents Club of East Catholic High School, Manchester. She was employed by Aetna Life and Casualty. Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, John F. Wardwell, Jr., Thomas T. Wardwell and Patrick S. Wardwell; two daughters, Barbara A. Wardwell and Susan J. Wardwell, all of East Hartford; a brother George T. Kinniry of West Hartford, three sisters, Mrs. James Foye of Bristol, and Mrs. Frank A. Golden of South Windsor and Mrs. Harold Webb of Pittsburgh, Pa. The funeral is Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, with a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Christopher Church at 10. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m." The Hartford Courant 08 September 1973
