    "The 1880 HISTORY OF LOGAN COUNTY claimed that Dorothy was born in Botetourt County, Virginia in 1785. This reference corroborates their children we have included in their progeny, but with the order of the last five children as Samuel, Nathan, Rebecca, Henry and Rose Ann. According to Beers' HISTORICAL MAPS OF INDIANA, Dorothy's name and that of their seventh child was Adorathy. We have listed their children according to Beers, who listed their 'twelve children, born as follows'. We do not know for sure the birth order of Henry's and Dorothy's children.

    Page 558 of the 1880 HISTORY OF LOGAN COUNTY mentions Dorothy Secrist as among the first members of Stony Creek Church."
