    The Memories tab shows a submission to the Ancestral File that claims that Thomas Willis and Dorcas Windham had a daughter Dorcas, born [about] 1787 in Newbern, Craven, N.C. who married Robert Averett. Another submission says she married Robert Averett and then Elisha Averett, but the wife of Elisha Averett was a different Dorcas Willis, niece of this Dorcas (daughter of John Willis). There doesn't seem to have been a Robert Averett in Tennessee around the time of the supposed marriage to Dorcas. However, Elisha Averett and Dorcas Willis had a son named Robert, which may be where the submitter got the name from.

    No source for her death date. It is the same as the birth date given for her son John Dement. Either she died in childbed or the date was meant to be "aft 26 Apr 1804". Since her husband remarried Nov 1805, the former seems likely.
