DONALD BENINTENDI HEART VICTIM
Don M. Benintendi, 40, 2428 E. Admiral Pl., expediter for the Douglas Aircraft Co., and former major league baseball player, died in a Tulsa hospital at 3am today after suffering a heart attack at his home Tuesday evening. He had been in apparently good health, Mrs. Helen Benintendi, the widow, said today.
The son of pioneers of Cleveland, OK., Mr. Benintendi made his home there and later in Oklahomaa City where he was employed in the state oil commission office when A. S. J. Shaw was commissioner. From 1928 to 1935 he was catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.
He came to Tulsa three years ago.
Besides the widow, the survivors are his mother, Mrs. Jewell* Benintendi of Cleveland, and a son D. M. Benintendi, Jr., of the home address.

RITES at 10:30 am for FORMER BASEBALL PLAYER
Funeral services for Don Benintendi, 40 years old, 2428 East Admiral place, who died Wednesday in a Tulsa hospital, will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at the service room of the Stanley and McCune funeral home with Rev. A. P. Cameron, pastor of Memorial Christian church, officiating.
Benintendi was widely known as a baseball player a decade ago, but he played under the name of DON BENN and few of the fans knew him by any other name. He played with Oklahoma City in the Western league in 1925, and was later sold to the American association. He also played with several smaller leagues.
He was the son of pioneer Cleveland, Okla., parents and, after retiring from baseball, was employed in the state oil commission office. He had lived here three years, being employed first by a steel company and later by Douglas Aircraft company, where he was an expediter.
Benintendi suffered a heart attack at his home Tuesday evening and was taken to a hospital but, when he began feeling better, returned to his home. He suffered another attack and died at 3 am Wednesday.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. *Jewell Benintendi of Cleveland; a son, Don M. Benintendi, Jr., and the widow.
