Found two more children of J.M. Herring and Christine Lee buried in this cemetery along with a Rebecca Murphree, and several NIXS'. Just thought I would pass�info on to you. Also found J. M. Herring in 1860 census in Pontotoc, Ms. My NIX family is from around this area.

Location: Eleven miles Northeast of Oneonta, or one mile Northwest of Ellison Crossroads on County Road 42, Blount County, Alabama

Originally surveyed by Jack V. Horton and Ralph H. Allred of Gadsden, Alabama on 8 Feb 1964; completely resurveyed by Robin Sterling 4 May 2002

Many of the older markers are flat stone slabs even with the ground with hand carved inscriptions which, over time, have weathered to an unreadable state. Some of the missing stones reported during the 2002 resurvey are probably those. Going, Dink, 24 Sep 1911 � 19 Jul 1957
