  14. Obituary From The Gospel Messenger, December 19, 1896:
    Byerly -- At Centerview, Mo., Oct. 11, 1896, Delila Byerly, aged 79 years and 11 days. Deceased was born in Rockingham County, Va., and in her eighteenth year was united in marriage to Eld Benjamin Byerly. She united with the Brethren church in her twenty-third year and remained steadfast in the faith until death. Her maiden name was Wise. She was the mother of nine children. Four children and her husband preceded her to the spirit world. One week before her death she called for the elders and was anointed. Funeral services by Bro Daniel Mohler..... Martha E. McVey..

    An Aged Lady Dead
    Grandma Byerly, 79 years of age, died at her home in Centerview, Sunday. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Mohler Monday evening, after which the remains were interred in the cemetery at Centerview.
  15. She is buried immediately north of Samuel Martin Byerly. That is the reason no information is available in the cemetery books is she has no headstone.
