  2. Ancestry from here is unclear. William Richard Cutter (vol II, p 1330) links Deborah (Tracy) Dewey only to Christopher Tracy of Preston, Connecticut. New England Historical and Genealogical Register (vol 63, pp 364-365) links a Christopher Tracy of Preston to a Lydia Parish (see Family:Christopher Tracy and Lydia Parish (1)). But John W. Dasef (pp 251-252) says Deborah Tracy, wife of David Dewey (son of Jabez Dewey) was the daughter of Jonathan Tracy and great granddaughter of 17th-century Virginia governor William Tracy.
