↑ The marriage record says Deborah is "of Buxton". The only Deborah Eldredge listed in the Buxton records^S1 is born to Daniel & Phebe [Cobb] Eldredge. This identification is confirmed by Deborah naming a daughter Phebe Cobb Wentworth (born and died 1825 per Buxton records). Source:McLellan, Hugh D. History of Gorham, Maine, p. 484, says Daniel Eldridge Jr. m. 17 Mar 1785 Phebe Cobb, and had one child (Sarah) born in Gorham before moving to Buxton. The dateless birth record of Deborah is squeezed between Sally's dateless record and that of Betsey born 1787, then there is a big gap until Daniel in 1795, Nancy in 1798, etc. Given her husband's birth in 1794, it seems more likely that Deborah was born between Betsey (1787) and Daniel (1795) than between Sally (15 Jun 1785 per Source:Gorham, Cumberland, Maine, United States.
