  2. This death is not recorded in the published Halifax VRs. It appears to come from a Find A Grave page, but the pictured stone is crumbled into several pieces, and nothing readable is seen on any of them. The memorial page gives a birth of 1718, presumably based on an age of 85. Source:Stearns, Ezra S. Genealogical and Family History of the State of New Hampshire, Vol. 2, p. 856, gives this date as 29 Oct 1805, aged 85, which works out to a birth about 1720, saying Deborah is "perhaps of Scituate". (The marriage of "Deborah Bryant" to "Lamuel Sturtevant" is recorded in Halifax (p. 32).) Neither birthdate is close to the recorded birthdate of this Deborah. Deborah would have moved to Marshfield when her mother remarried and there are two marriages of a Deborah Briant in Marshfield in 1728 that are far more likely to be this Deborah. More research is needed.
