DeWayne M. Crawford DeWayne M. “Cricket” CRAWFORD, 28, Rt. 2, Rochester, died Sunday morning in his home. Junior D. GOOD, Fulton County Deputy Coroner, said Mr. Crawford hanged himself in the shop area of Egolf Motors salvage yard which he managed. The business building and the home are connecting structures near U.S. 31 southeast of Rochester. He was born May 12, 1955 in Columbia City to Phil M. and Genevieve HERTSEL CRAWFORD. He grew up in the South Whitley area. He was employed for eight years by the Whitley Manufacturing Co. Surviving are the wife, Sherry Lynn SHEETS CRAWFORD; two sons, Troy and Toby [CRAWFORD], both at home; the father and step-mother, Phil M. and Martha CRAWFORD, Warsaw; two brothers, Larry and Galen [CRAWFORD], both of South Whitley a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Carole) CRIPE, Claypool; the paternal grandfather, George C. CRAWFORD, Columbia City, and the maternal and mother, Mildred HERTSEL, South Whitley. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley, with the Revs. Burris MOORE and David GROGG officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Whitley County. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and on Tuesday from 2 to 9 References
