'STONE ... David, s. of David and Elizabeth, Apr. 6, 1650.'
The name of the mother may be an error. It is the only birth record in this VR where the parents are named David and Elizabeth; there are 3 other births where the parents are named David and Dorcas (Dorcas, 1652, Jno, 165-, and Samuel, 1656), as well as 3 baptismal records where the parents are named David and Dorcas and the year is given as 16-- (Daniel, David, Nathaniel). It is possible that David's mother was Elizabeth and that she died and his father remarried and had more children. If so, it is likely that David, Daniel and Nathaniel were all children of Elizabeth, and were baptized after their father remarried, with their step-mother's name listed in the baptismal record.
