1818 Beneficiary and joint Executor along with his brother in law, John Flint and mother in law Mary Flint in the Will of his father in law, Lewis Flint, noted as his "Friend and son in law" - "........All that my freehold Messuage Cottage or Tenement situate at Shillington afore said with the Bakehouse Yards Gardens Buildings and Close or piece of arable (land suitable for crop production) land and all and singular other the Hereditaments Rights Members and appurtenances (belongings) to the same belonging and appertaining To hold the same unto my said Wife and her assigns for and during the --- Term of her natural life she keeping the same in good repair And from and after my said wife's decease I give Will and devise all and every the said premises with the Rights member and appertenances thereunto belonging unto my Son John Flint and my Friend & son in Law David Simkins of Shillington ------- To hold the same unto and to the use of them and the Survivor of them and the heirs and Assigns of such Survivor for ever....."
