Records of Littleton, Massachusetts., p. 469 (in the notes of Samuel Smith, not the town records), says David, the first son of David Russell, d. young. This is an obvious error, confusing the grandson (son of son David who did not die) as a second son named David.
The Repository:AmericanAncestors.org index of a record found in Lexington VRs, p. 68: "David bp., and he and Abigail r. Oct. 29, 1699", lists the record as a birth record, though it reads like an adult baptism as far as it goes.
