DAVEY MARLIN-JONES is a recipient of the Margo Jones Award for advancing the American playwright. Professor Marlin-Jones worked as Artistic Director for the Washington Theatre Club in Washington, DC, where he introduced the professional premieres of 137 new writers, including Landord Wilson, Stephen F. Schwartz, George Haimsohn and others. He directed the Emmy Award winning series THE GREATEST EARTH ON SHOW and the film version of Lanford Wilson's IN THE WELL OF THE HOUSE for Joseph Papp in New York. At the Kennedy Center, he presided over the New Playwrights program and directed PERFECT PITCH for Roger L. Stevens at the Eisenhower Theatre. He was the first Artistic Director for the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and was Managing Director for the Equity Library Theatre in New York where he directed the Gide adaptation of Kafka's THE TRIAL. Professor Marlin-Jones was also the Consulting Director for the Repertory Company of St. Louis where he directed twenty works including his own play, the highly acclaimed BRANDY STATION. He has been guest lecturer, critic, and director at over 100 universities, as well as 40 major American Theatres such as The Long Wharf Theatre,
