An imageless Find A Grave memorial gives the death date of 29 Feb 1816, when letters of administration were granted 17 days earlier, so probably at least a month after his actual death and maybe more. What is this based on? Not the actual death, obviously, nor probably any cemetery record. Another example of why imageless memorial pages should be regarded with doubt. Too many people care about the date, not realizing that it is the source of knowledge of that date which is the important thing to document.
