    5017. David (Day), of Colchester, son of John 2d, m. Hannah Kellogg, and d. without issue, Sept. 5, 1775, aged 66, leaving a large estate, which he 'gave for the support of the gospel ministry in the Presbyterian way and order,' in the different parishes where his land lay, viz. in the Westchester Parish in Colchester, Hartland, and Rumney, N. H., and for the maintenance of a high school 'for the instruction of youth in the Latin and Greek languages, reading, writing and arithmetic,' in the town of Colchester, (Westchester.) His widow m. John Eliot of Middletown, Conn., May 5, 1766 [August 5, 1776], and d. in 1812, aged 95."
