"Mr. Blodgett, who was born in Dunstable, Mass., Dec. 16, 1744, was a soldier in the Revolutionary war and a prominent citizen of Mason, N.H., also became prominent in town affairs after coming to Camden, where he passed the remainder of his life. He was one of the founders of the Congregational church [p. 125: David and Lucy founding members in 1805], and held various town offices. As we shall see later he served on several important committees of the town. The most of his descendants removed to Aroostook county."
