- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 The will of his father dated 1822 bequeaths to the heirs of my son David Daniels Baker. Thus he had children and died by 1822. Based on other known births, and since he is named after Marshall and before Alpheus, he was probably born between 1774 and 1780, but the location is unknown as no birth record has been found. He m. 1802 Lydia Jacobs.
Note that Source: Firelands Pioneer, Vol. 21, p. 2378, appears to assume this is the same individual as the Daniel or Daniels whose birth is recorded in Orange, but both are mentioned in the will, and Daniel b. 1805 is clearly not old enough to have heirs by 1822.
