She was not buried in the Dixon plot but with some of the Runyon family. John Dixon's third wife, Dorcas (Runyon) Dixon was buried as Dorcas Ritchie in the Ritchie plot adjacent to the Dixon plot in the Elmwood Cemetery. On her marker is: "Wife of John Dixon". Another Dixon researcher thinks her maiden name was Ritchie and that she married a Runyon first, then John Dixon. Another thought is that she married a Ritchie after John Dixon died.
