David Sawin Son of John & Elizebeth Sawin born October 26, 1727.
[Note: both these records appear on the same page, separated by a few lines. However, neither indicates twins, rather they are recorded as if single births. Only Daniel is baptized, only Daniel is named in his father's will, and there is no death record for David. Now, the Watertown records indicate these come from p. 67 which is here, and it shows the published records are an accurate transcription, but also shows that even this old record is a copy of some apparently unknown original, since the writing is so uniform. Originally the two records may have been on different pages? Bond shows no son David, which may indicate he saw the original, or may reflect that he is going on only which children survived, we can't tell. While we cannot absolutely rule out a son named David who died before the baptism 10 days later, it is believed the absence of an explicit identification as twins in the birth record suggests the second record is a duplicate of Daniel's birth that was mistranscribed when the first copy was made.]
