↑ Two deeds cited on his wife's page appear to show he executed a deed on 6 Dec 1837, and then his heirs sold land on 4 Mar 1839 saying he was deceased. A Daniel Johnson died in Hardwick 17 Feb 1846, aged 53, but the death record says he was single, and clearly too young to be the widower of Lucy Briggs.
