  2. This unsourced death estimate appears to be based on Source:Read, Benjamin. History of Swanzey, New Hampshire : From 1734 to 1890, p. 386, which says "Daniel Jackson, from Templeton, Mass., settled in Swanzey and there d. about 1815; ...". There is no death record or gravestone found. What is found is a guardian file in 1816 (here), where on 21 Mar 1816, a petition requests a guardian for "Daniel Jackson late of said Swanzey Deceas'd has left a son by the name of Daniel Jackson over the age of fourteen just who stands in need of a guardian...". This Daniel was born in late 1801 or early 1802 to be "fourteen just". As mentioned, there does not appear to be a probate file for the father, nor does there appear to a guardian file for Jonathan, the only child of these parents for whom a birth record has been found.
