Daniel Horn's origins have yet to be established. His first confirmed sighting is on 11th October 1803, when he married Sarah Linney at Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire. The following year they had a son, William, baptised there. The family has yet to be traced after William's baptism.

1.   There were two people called Daniel Horn later living in the Leighton Buzzard area who may be this man: one who was buried at Leighton Buzzard on 31st March 1850, aged 72; and another who appears in the 1851 census aged 66 in the Leighton Buzzard Union Workhouse, who gave his birthplace as Ivinghoe Aston in Buckinghamshire. They cannot both be this Daniel, but not enough information has been found to say which, if either, of them may be him.
