marriages recorded in Marriage Book #1, on the same day, at Moorefield, Va.,
including Daniel's & Eve's. David Badgley was from the Essex and Union Co., New
Jersey, area. Clarks could have been from same area as many Clarks lived in that
area and Clarks married into Badgley family. In 1797, David Badgley led some 300
people to "New Design," Illinois. Familys of Clarks and Borrers were some of
those in the group. Read "The History of Hardy County 1786-1986"by R. K.
MacMaster Eve: On Nov. 11th. 1784 then did David Badgley enter 400 acres of land
under the Little Mountain between Hawk Gap and Flemmings Gap on the waters of Olanders Creek
