Daisy Hilda Gilham was born on 3rd November 1890 at Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, daughter of Emma Jane Gilham, formerly Phillips, and her husband Charles Joseph Gilham, a boot repairer and cab driver. Daisy appears in the 1891, 1901 and 1911 censuses living at different addresses in Great Yarmouth with her parents and siblings.
In 1915, aged 24, Daisy married Ernest Augustus Timothy, who worked as a plater in shipbuilding. They had twin sons the following year, who were born in the Dartford area. They later returned to Great Yarmouth.
At the outbreak of the Second World War, Daisy, Ernest and one of their sons were living at 53 Albany Road in Great Yarmouth.
Ernest died in 1960, aged 74. Daisy survived him by nearly 14 years. She died on 11th February 1974 in Great Yarmouth, aged 83.
