OBITUARY:
ROBERTS, Emeline C. Of Kalamazoo Emeline died on Friday, December 10, 2010, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born May 20, 1909, in Waverly Township, MI, a daughter of John S. and Cynthia (Farnsworth) Horton and had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Emeline was a member of Westwood Christian Reformed Church. On May 15, 1928, she was united in marriage with Frederick O. Roberts, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1985. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, Owen K. Horton and John S. Horton; three half-sisters, Edna Palmer, Goldie Vogt and Arkie DeLeeuw; and two half-brothers, Ernest Owen and Albert Owen. Surviving are: a daughter, Betty (Anthony) Ehlers of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren, Steven A. (Louann) Ehlers of Cape Coral, FL, Ronald J. (Jeanne) Ehlers of Portage, MI and Debra K. (Tim) Gaylor of Hastings, MI; seven great-grandchildren, David A. Ehlers, Derek J. Ehlers, Daniel J. Ehlers, Geoffrey A. Ehlers, Erin J. Ehlers, Rebecca L. Gaylor and Brooke R. Gaylor; three great-great-grandchildren, Emily, Cole and Quinn Ehlers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Private graveside services will be held in Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
